Horno Reservation FAQS
1. What is included in the Horno reservation?
Reserving the RGFP Horno allows you access to the outdoor adobe oven and its surrounding courtyard area for your scheduled amount of time. Public restrooms and parking are available on site. Reserving the Horno does not mean you have exclusive access to the Education Center building or facilities for your event. If you’re interested in renting the Education Center for an event, please click here.
2. Can we use the playground?
Yes! The playground is available to use during your use of the Horno, but please note it is also open to the general public.
3. Where are there restrooms on site?
The outdoor public restroom facilities are located south of the Education Center building. Depending on the time of day, if the building is open and no event is happening, there is also an indoor restroom available in the Education Center. On the map to the right, public restrooms are outlined in blue.
4. Is the Horno available to reserve after dark?
No, it is not. The park closes at dark.
5. Where is the Horno and its courtyard located?
The Rio Grande Farm Park Horno and its accompanying courtyard are located northeast of the Education Center building. On the map to the upper right, it is outlined in red.
6. Are fuel and tools to use the Horno provided?
No, you will typically be required to bring your own wood and cooking utensils to use the Farm Park’s horno. However, depending on seasonal donations, Farm Park staff might have some extra wood on site. Just ask beforehand.
7. Does reserving the Horno cost money?
No, it does not cost money.
