Rio Grande Farm Park Laguna

The laguna makes up 9 of the Farm Park’s 38-acre property. In alignment with our stated mission to promote healthy living, connect children and families to nature, and preserve Alamosa’s public trail system & open spaces, the Rio Grande Farm Park laguna area (located next to the farm park outside the west back gate) is a spot where folks are encouraged to play, kayak, fish, and enjoy the beautiful views of the Rio Grande River. The laguna and the connected trail system can be easily accessed by parking next to the greenhouse at the Farm Park.

The laguna is also an important part of the irrigation system for our farmers; its water is used to run our drip irrigation program.
