Volunteer Opportunities at the Farm Park
A Place to Help
Volunteers are at the heart of our success at the Rio Grande Farm Park. By donating time and skills, volunteers help to create a thriving community space centered around sustainable agriculture, the valley’s cultural heritage, and lifelong education.
Here are just a few of the perks that come with volunteering at the Farm Park:
Learn and develop new skills related to sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming
Connect with nature and experience the joy of working in a vibrant outdoor setting
Make a tangible difference in our community by supporting local food systems and education initiatives
Maintain the integrity and beauty of the Farm Park by engaging in woodworking, painting, groundskeeping, and building projects
VOLUNTEER WORKDAYS
Public volunteer workdays are hosted on the last Saturday of each month, with coffee and breakfast provided. Volunteer workday projects vary based on the season, but there are generally a variety of tasks for folks of different ages and abilities.
See our Facebook page for updated information on these workdays.
VOLUNTEER GROUPS
The Rio Grande Farm Park welcomes volunteer groups of all ages that are looking to serve on a regenerative farm. Especially during our growing season (May-September), we can almost always find important tasks for groups to do around the Farm Park — including weeding, harvesting, building, and more.
Volunteer groups in the past have come from organizations such as Adams State, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, Southwest Conservation Corps, and Valley Wide Health Systems.
