Meet the Farmers of the Rio Grande Organic Growers Cooperative

The commercial farmers at the Farm Park formed the Rio Grande Organic Growers Cooperative in 2019. This group has enabled these farmers to access affordable insurance policies, sell as a collective to larger markets, and work together to become leaders in their field.

With 14 individual farming businesses hosted on site this year, there are many stories woven together in this special place. Some farmers have been growing their whole lives, and others are still cultivating their skills and knowledge. These folks work alongside one another to ensure fresh, healthy food reaches the community - with thousands of pounds of food donated to regional food banks and sold at SLV Farmer's Markets & stores in both Colorado and New Mexico. 

Each farmer carries a unique story of how their journey began, how they were drawn to the Farm Park, and how they practice growing. These growers are sharing their stories with the world in the Coop’s Meet Your Farmer video series!
