Farm Fresh Walking Tours Offered at Mercadillo en el Rio

This year, the Farm Park hopes to offer a Farm Fresh Walking tour to farmers market patrons at 4 PM and 5 PM on Wednesdays throughout the mercadillo season (July 15 to September 2). The tour will be an interactive, hands-on learning experience where visitors harvest and taste produce directly from the field while learning about local agriculture in the San Luis Valley. Additionally, the tours will be led by the teen participants of our Rising Stewards internship program so that they can share both the knowledge they’ve acquired and the food that they’ve grown with their community.
