Nature Trails Around the Park

The Rio Grande Farm Park is a wonderful destination for exploration along the City of Alamosa’s expansive trail system. The front gate of the park is connected to the bike pathway along Highway 17. The back gate leads to our laguna, which sits next to the city trail that runs alongside the beautiful Rio Grande River. On the city trail map below, the Farm Park is located where our logo is.

We are currently working with the City of Alamosa, using generous funds from SLV GO! to develop and expand the walking trail around the Farm Park. It will extend around the park’s interior perimeter, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of the native wildlife and learn more about our sustainable agriculture efforts. The city is collaborating with local students from the Boys and Girls Club of the SLV to brainstorm a trail name, install kiosks, and create signs for the new trail.
